Family Caregivers
Assisting You in Your Distinctive Role as Caregiver

For someone who is homebound, one of the most important members of their care team is the special individual who serves as caregiver. It’s you.
SCS respects your extraordinary role. As caregiver, you tend to the many needs of your aging loved one. But in doing so, you may forget to take care of yourself. The Program can reduce the financial and emotional stress that is all too familiar to those caring for a dependent relative.
The Family Caregiver Support Program assists you as you assist your frail relative. For example, the Program provides support for personal care aides, emergency response systems and the installation of safety devices to help prevent falls. Through the Program’s free, compassionate counseling, you can find positive ways to work with the challenges of ensuring that your loved one is well cared for at home. The Program helps to link you with other resources also available in your community.
Take a moment to find out if you are eligible for the free Family Caregiver Support Program. It is as important to your loved one as it is to you.
